This Customer Cancellation Policy explains how booking cancellations are handled on Yella Ride ("Yella Ride," "we," "our," or "us"). Yella Ride is a platform that connects customers with independent rental car operators. Yella Ride does not own, operate, or manage vehicles.

Yella Ride provides a standard cancellation framework that applies to all bookings listed on the platform. Some operators may apply different rules only for security deposits, but the cancellation policy below applies to every booking unless otherwise clearly stated on the booking confirmation page.

By making a booking or using our website or app (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to this Cancellation Policy.

1. Standard Cancellation Rules (Applicable to All Bookings)

  • All cancellations must be submitted through the Yella Ride platform (website/app) or via Support.
  • The cancellation policy applies equally to all rental operators listed on Yella Ride.
  • Operators must follow this cancellation framework.
  • Only the security deposit terms may vary operator to operator.

2. Free Cancellation Window

You are eligible for free cancellation if:

  • You cancel 24 hours before the pickup time, and
  • The booking confirmation does not explicitly state otherwise

Free cancellation eligibility is shown:

  • On the car listing page
  • During the checkout process
  • On the booking confirmation page

3. Cancellations Within 24 Hours of Pickup

If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of scheduled pickup:

  • A cancellation fee may apply (percentage displayed during booking)
  • For prepaid bookings, fees are deducted from the amount paid

Yella Ride will always show the exact cancellation fee before you confirm cancellation.

4. No-Show Policy

A booking is considered a no-show if:

  • You do not arrive at the pickup location
  • You fail to present required documents at pickup (ID, driving license, credit/debit card, etc)
  • Your payment method fails verification

Operators are not obligated to hold the reservation beyond the pickup time if you do not show up.

5. Prepaid vs Postpaid Bookings

6. Booking Modifications (Instead of Cancellation)

Customers may request:

  • Change of pickup date/time
  • Vehicle change (if available)
  • Extension of rental

Modifications are subject to:

  • Availability
  • Price changes (if applicable)

If modification is not possible, the original cancellation policy applies.

7. Policy for Cancellations Made by Yella Ride

A booking may be canceled by Yella Ride if:

  • Fraud or suspicious behavior is detected
  • Required customer details are missing
  • Payment or identity verification fails

If canceled due to vehicle unavailability or operator error, a full refund will be issued for prepaid bookings.

Yella Ride does not reimburse additional costs such as travel expenses, taxi fares, hotel bookings, etc.

8. How to Cancel

You can cancel using:

Cancellation is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from Yella Ride.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Georgia.
