This Payment Policy explains how payments, security deposits, billing, and financial transactions operate on YellaRide. By making a booking, the customer agrees to the Terms & Conditions and policies stated on all pages.

YellaRide is a platform that connects customers with independent rental operators.

We facilitate the booking and collect the rental payment, but we do not own or operate vehicles.

1. Payment Responsibility

  • YellaRide collects the full rental amount at the time of booking via the platform (website/app).
  • The rental operator fulfills the service, provides the vehicle, and handles the security deposit directly during pickup.

2. Prepaid & Postpaid Options

Depending on availability and operator configuration, customers may have:

Postpaid BookingCustomer may pay at the pickup location directly to the rental operator (if allowed by that operator).

Note: Availability of post-paid bookings is subject to operator participation and may vary.

3. Accepted Payment Methods

YellaRide accepts:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay (where supported)
  • Debit & credit cards issued by major banks

4. Security Deposit (Handled by Operator)

  • YellaRide does not charge or hold the security deposit.
  • Security deposits are collected directly by the rental operator during pickup.
  • Deposit may be held through:
    • Card authorization
    • Refundable charge
    • Cash deposit (if allowed by operator)

Security deposit amount and method may vary by operator, vehicle type, and location — within YellaRide's allowed framework.

5. Billing & Charges

Once payment is processed:

  • Customer receives a booking confirmation receipt via email and within the app.
  • Charges will appear on the card statement with the descriptor: "YELLA RIDE".

YellaRide may display limited card information (such as card type and last 4 digits) for verification purposes.

6. Transaction Security

We use secure, encrypted, and industry-recognized systems for payments:

  • PCI-DSS compliant processing
  • Advanced anti-fraud systems
  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)

YellaRide never stores full card details — only encrypted tokens and limited metadata necessary for payment validation.

7. Failed Transactions & Chargebacks

If the payment fails:

  • The booking will not be confirmed.
  • Customer may retry with another payment method.

Chargebacks should be initiated only in case of unauthorized transactions.

We encourage resolving disputes through support first.

8. Currency & Taxes

  • All charges are displayed in USD (United States Dollar) unless otherwise specified.
  • Operators may apply local taxes or mandatory fees (airport fees, insurance, tolls) based on state rules.

Any additional fees will be shown before payment confirmation whenever possible.

9. Unauthorized Use & Fraud Prevention

YellaRide reserves the right to:

  • Cancel suspicious bookings
  • Block fraudulent accounts
  • Request ID verification if required

This is to ensure security for both customers and rental operators.
